This photoblog contains amateur photos primarily during a major transition in my life. My goal this year is to produce at least one shot that stirs the soul as so many images have stirred mine. The title of the photoblog comes from a term found in psychology and literature that itself has evolved over time. The meaning I am embracing for this period in my existence and specifically related to my photography is a leap into the unknown (having no photography experience whatsoever) in the hopes that I will refine a new passion. As I discover different ways to look at the world through the lens and critique my own eye (and hopefully receive criticism from you), I hope to make the journey from naivete to experience.

I'm interning this year with a local photographer who does wedding, corporate and portrait photos so I expect to learn quite a bit. As such I'll be posting pics demonstrating what I am trying to learn and the missteps along the way.
